These are the times I like eBay
I just bought this off of the Bay a little while ago. Borg Warner T-5 from a 89 V-8 Camaro. Can't wait to get it all together now.

Re: These are the times I like eBay
Oh there will be pictures. I will share my progress and probably ask more questions as I go along. I'm still in the frame building process so hopefully i can get this thing cleaned up and installed and get a rolling chassis soon.

Re: These are the times I like eBay
cool find!! i had one sitting behind a 327 and loved it! but i only had 3.08 gears in the rear end and made 5th gear useless. would recomened 3.73 or 4.11 depending on tires and trans gear size!! still have the trans and sold the motor!! Is that a vent tube on the top of the trans or no? mine didn't have one!

Re: These are the times I like eBay
the non w/c or w/c models never came from the factory behind anything bigger than a 305 5.0L. and there was a reason for that. good trans, just be careful with it.

Re: These are the times I like eBay
I'm assuming that is a vend tube on top. I'll find out when I pick it up this week. As far as the engine goes I shouldn't have anything to worry about. It's going behind a 250 I6. I'm pretty sure I won't have too much power for that trans.

Re: These are the times I like eBay
I put a WC T5 behind a 292 I6. What a difference! It made the truck come alive.
You might want to check into a Sonoma tailshaft though. I suspect where the shifter is now would be too far back to work very well. The Sonoma tailshaft will put the shifter immediately behind the gear box.

I know you'll be happy with the transmission. I loved it and I miss my little 6! Did you see my build thread on this? Check out the sticky at the top of this forum.
