4 link for a 47-54??
Can anyone recommend a good, but cost effective, universal 4 link for my 52?

Re: 4 link for a 47-54??
It all depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Bags or springs? Me personally, I like the triangulated 4link cause you dont have to mount and locate that extra panhard bar. If you search their website you'll find the video of Spike's truck installing the exact setup on one of our AD trucks. I bought the actual episode off of ITUNES

Bags and I want it sitting on the ground. I do remember that episode but didn't know the brand they used.

Re: 4 link for a 47-54??
***************** has alot of the same stuff as welderseries and more choices. I'm plan to build some kind of triangulated 4 link with bags something like this maybe:
http://www.*****************/4-link-k...ted-4-link-kit But I might go this route because a parallel 4-link with a panhard is tried and true, also simple. The nice thing here is you free up room between the frame rails for the bag mounts, shock mounts, exhaust, etc. http://www.*****************/4-link-k...lel-4-link-kit The TCI kits are pretty much bolt-on from what I can tell but they're what close to $1K?

Re: 4 link for a 47-54??
theres really no need for the huge bars in the suicide doors kit unless you want to run bag on bar.
I have installed both welderseries and suicidedoors, and as long as your going bag on the axle then the welderseries stuff is awesome. and the welderseries ones I've used is the longer one with big bushings. Either parallel or tri. I have a tri on my truck, when pushing alot of horsepower, I'd say trying to hook up with 600+, I'd only run a parallel. Other than that tri works fine, but when laying out the drivesahft gets all up in the way. |
