Hood latch marking and odd horn???

So I got a half of a 68 front clip for some parts the other day and I am not familiar with a few things. Maybe someone can help me out here.

First is this marking on the hood latch. I have never seen one with this marking or any marking on it. Any ideas or input?

And second is these horns. I have seen dual horns and the ones I have seen are both the same size and shape. I am curious if these are factory or what. I know the smaller one is but the bigger one is something I haven't seen before. Any ideas or input?

Re: Hood latch marking and odd horn???

I've no idea on the latch stamp. The large horn looks like one from the late fifties maybe.

I would have to look at my horns closer but the large one looks like it could be a '57 or '58 Chevy horn.

Re: Hood latch marking and odd horn???

when guys wanted a loud horn back then , we used to get horns in the junkyard from older cars that were 6volt systems that made for a very loud horn that you could scare people with

VERY interesting... I've never heard of this. Did the horns end up burning out or anything?

Interesting. I didn't look for any markings. I'll go check.

Haha. Your funny Mike. I've still got plenty of parts to hunt for.
