4" drop springs ???

A guy on Ebay has some 4" front drop springs for sale......for a 60-72 chevy truck....

That's a little too much drop using springs don't ya think?

Wouldn't this cause all sorts of problems with your front suspension?

Re: 4" drop springs ???

For the front I would go with a 2 inch drop spring MAX and a 2.5 inch drop spindle.

4 inch drop spring for the rear is no problem.

Re: 4" drop springs ???

It all depends how low you want to go and how much of a smoother ride you want, I dropped the front of my 70 C10 7" with coils alone and it was fine other then my stock sway bar was in the way and I had to cut away with the stock bump stops and place new smaller versions on.

I would say after figuring this out for my self a 5" lowing coils would be max and then if you want to go lower you may want to use Drop spindles for a better ride.

Re: 4" drop springs ???

4" front drop springs would be too much drop . I don't think anyone make 4" front spring.
I don't know if this is the ebay auction you are looking at , In the ebay auction I found , the seller states :

(NOTE): THESE SPRINGS ARE FROM A 4--6 DROP KIT FROM EARLY CLASSICS.COM,,,

The 4/6 drop kits from ECE include 2 1/2" drop spindles and 1 1/2" front springs for a total of 4" drop.

http://www.earlyclassic.com/catalog.aspx

You might want to contact seller to make sure he knows what he is selling.
