Newbie here

Just picked up a 82 2wd. Thank for all the info on this site. My first question is can i do a flip kit in the rear without a cnotch? Here is a picture of my 2wd a past 4wd(the 78), and my current 4wd(the 87).

Re: Newbie here

Welcome to the board. Thats a good looking blazer!! I really like the '78 you had too

If you had a truck I would say not problem doing a flip with no notch but blazer's seem to go a lot lower when flipped. How low do you want to go? If I could do mine over I would go 4" (shackle/hanger), right now I'm around 7" drop in the rear and its causing me problems with what to do with the front.

Re: Newbie here

Thank you. That 78 was one of my favorite rigs, thats why i had to upload that picture too. The 81(sorry i know i said it was a 82) when i got it they had heated the front springs and took all the leafs out of the back. This picture i have already installed custom built lower control arms and lowered springs inthe front that i have been saving off a short wide. I like the stance it has now but really don't like the idea of no leafs left. I also have some 15x8 ralleys and 255-60-15 bfg to install this weekend.

Welcome to the site. I kinda like the wire wheels. I wouldn't mind putting a set on my Rivi. The top two trucks are nice.

Re: Newbie here

Thanks everyone! Dont let the looks of the bottom one fool you tho. Its a fuel injected 454,tb400,dana 60,14bolt lockers, and 37inch boggers. I have built several chevy and gmc trucks and blazers but only a few 2wds. I also have a 454 tb400 to go into the 2wd blazer and plans on making it a full convertible.

Re: Newbie here

Are you going to tint the front windows and add any molding to the lower part... I guess what I'm asking is what the future plans are! lol

Re: Newbie here

Thanks everone! I do have a set of wheel opening moldings for it. I'm just trying to make this thing presentible for the summer berfore any major changes. As far as the windows when i do the full top conversion i plan changing to all clear glass so it can be tinted all the same. I bought a donor 74 to get all the pieces for the top but decieded it was to nice to cut up so i'm also in the process of changing everything out of my beater 87 4x4 into it.
