To buy or not to buy

I found this truck today, seems like a pretty good buy. Whatdo you think. No rust in the cab at all. Back of the rt door rusted out and the front of the bed below the tool box on the rt is rusted out. Would make a good work truck. The floor of the bed is bent beyond repair. 350/4 sp. Runs good, seems like the carb might be a bit dirty. He is wanting $1600, but I think $1300 would buy it.

Re: To buy or not to buy

Looks good, what are you waiting for? Dose it run? Offer him $1000 and see where that takes you, although, if running, 1600 is still cheap.

Read your post again, saw that it is running. Go for it!

I am in the same situation as you. Trying to decide; to buy or not to buy.

Re: To buy or not to buy

Ya, I was surprised when I crawled under it and it was as solid as it is. There is also no carpet in it, so all of the sheet metal is exposed for inspection. I am thinking about buying it for a work truck. It does run good. It drives good and stops good as well. It also has good tires on it. I am not really looking for a truck, but this one is so clean that I thought I could buy it and use it for working around the house. If I buy it I will let you know and post pictures later.

Re: To buy or not to buy

I'd buy that one. That is a great price for a running truck. Looks to be in good shape too.

Re: To buy or not to buy

I went back down, but he was already closed for the weekend. I have to wait until next Friday anyway. That's when I get my taxes back. The good news is that my beautiful wife said to go for it. She thinks I deserve it. Now hopefully it will still be there.
