Aftermarket steering column
I am about to purchase an ididit replacement column for my truck. It is part #1140650010 and is a bolt in replacement for our trucks. It also has a column shifter on it for the 700r4 I am using. It is a bit pricey at $550 and I want to make sure there are no other bolt in options before I make the purchase. Please let me know if you guys know of any other options.

Re: Aftermarket steering column
People commonly use the 70's chevy van columns, they are not direct bolt in but very limited mods to get them into place working nicely, thats what I installed in my wifes 60. There are multiple write ups about them if you do a search and I have seen some rebuilt ones go on evil bay for around 300$ and non rebuilt for of course under that.

Re: Aftermarket steering column
I used the van columns. Just lined them up and tack on some nuts so I could bolt it to the bracket under the dash. I got the last one at PNP on a 25% off day for $28. This was back when they were not ripping people off though.
