1969 Dodge Charger R/T
I usually hang out in the '73-'87 section so I never knew there was a section to post non-GM truck projects. I am a hardcore Mopar guy that bleeds Hemi Orange. So I thought I'd post a past project, that I still own, since you all allow me to as nice as you all are.....
It's a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T, 440, 727, 8.75 w/3.55 Sure Grip. Some of the mods are Edelbrock Performer RPM closed chamber heads, Torker Intake, Holley 870 carb, all ARP bolts, Comp 292/.509 cam, 2" Hooker Super Comp Headers, Flowmaster Super 40's w/ 3" exhaust and X-Pipe. It thunders.... I bought it right after I graduated H.S in 2000 and it's been a project for the next 7 years. Even then so, it's still not done, they never are. Hope you all like it.

Re: 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
Looks good. Admitedly I am not a fan of Dodge, but I can always appreciate a good restoration of a classic muscle car.
Is the black top vinyl or painted?

Re: 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
Thanks for all the comments.
I saw a couple very similarly built motors on another site I'm on frequently, Moparts, and they were pushing the 525-550 HP mark, so I'm guessing this one is around the 500 HP mark.

Re: 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
I also love me some Mopars,,,I ve always wanted to find a good 68-69 Road Runner, that body style of the Chargers is got to be the best ever, Super Sharp Mopar you have there. Dodge should be ashamed of the 4 door ones now.
I also like the body lines of the 69-71 New Yorkers, 300's Newports......... Smitty

Re: 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
That's cool. I'm going to do the same with my '68 Satellite (the one in my sig) only it will be the wrong year for a clone, but I still want to do it. I was thinking Bahama Yellow with the Six Pack hood and throwing a 440 in it I have laying around with a 4 speed. I'm fighting between that idea and leaving it stock looking with it's pea green paint, green interior with the flat hood but same mods to make it a sleeper. Right now it's just too nice for me to tear it apart for no reason... Thanks again
