Ss 350
Back when the 454 SS Trucks were new to the market, Chevy also sold a SS 350. It had the same decals as the 454 except the SS went in front and instead of saying 454, it said 350. I had a friend who had one that was a stepside. I'm not sure if they made them in a fleet side or not.
With our truck scheme being black and red - sort of like the 454 SS, and the SS 350, I have been toying with the idea of finding a reproduction decal for the SS 350 and slapping it somewhere on the side in the back. Maybe on the fender or something. 1/2 of me thinks this is a really dumb idea that would look cheap and tacky. And then the other 1/2 kinda thinks it would look cool and be a pretty neat idea. What say ye?

Re: Ss 350
Street Trucks magazine did a series of articles on a '95 C/K. They did an SS theme, based on the mid-70's El Camino. It consists of the SS at the front of a black strip/stripe that extends from the rear edge of the front fenders, to the rear of the truck, down the side. They also did an SS-style blackout hood treatment.
How all of this would look on the 67-72's is the question. But, it's your truck.

Re: Ss 350
So thats 1000 no then 3x = 3000 plus three other nos. plus my no
That's 3004 against and a few "it's up to you" I don't see anyone really in support of the SS350 idea.

Re: Ss 350
I would not do it, I am not a huge fan of badging period and secondly the 67-72 is an era of trucks so I think when it does come to badging it should be from that era, let the 88-98 guys have their own markings and we will have ours. Same love for all but lets keep what makes our trucks ours, ours.

Re: Ss 350
Whats the big deal. Put them on. If we all liked and did the same things life would be boring. I see alot of stuff on this forum I wouldn't do but this is what makes us unique.

Re: Ss 350
There's a bozo in my office with the cadillac CTS. He's so proud that his POS has a detuned LS3 engine that he put Corvette Z06 emblems on it.....looks like... well, you wouldn't want to step in it! It does, however, give the rest of us a lot of laughs so it can't be all bad.
That 67 looks great in black suede...don't screw it up with some other truck's decals. |

Re: Ss 350
If you decide to do it, I suggest that you go to a vinyl graphics shop that can take a digital photo of your truck and then provide you with several layout choices such as a bumble bee type stripe on the front fenders or the rear of the bed, etc. The computer images will provide you with an idea of what might look best to you.

Re: Ss 350
Man if you like it do it. its your truck and if you like it counts, not what I think or what anyone else thinks for that matter!
http://i.ebayimg.com/05/!BhrN8IQBGk~$%28KGrHqUH-CMEsN!j0I,jBLKRO4fHPQ~~_0.JPG I think I'm gonna put these on my blazer. flat black and stick them on. I like them, and I think they will be neat.
