Re: Newer A arms on our trucks?
I dont know about that never heard of anyone doing this. Tubular arms are available from the after market for 73-87s.

Those are from Suicide Doors. They are $1,000 for the set or Uppers are $450 and Lowers are $550.

Re: Newer A arms on our trucks?
There are several compainies that make them, but none of them are what you might consider as "cheap". Those shown by SD are very well built at a competitive price. They are also offered by some of our other forum vendors such as Ride Tech, Porterbuilt, and CPP.
Why do you want tubular A-Arms? Are you lowering, bagging, or ? There really isn't a big advantage with them unless your going lower. BTW- The 99+ suspension is totally different.

Re: Newer A arms on our trucks?
I plan to lower my truck the right way and beat the snot out of it on the strip, would something like these be a good investment or should I just beef up the stock a-arms?

Re: Newer A arms on our trucks?
They are pretty tough. I don't think you'll have any problems with them breaking, and would have to say they are probably equal if not stronger than the stock stamped ones.

Re: Newer A arms on our trucks?
Tubular A-arms are cool and all, and they are stronger than the factory stamped, but what we really need are these:
Adjustable arms. I am lowered 3" up front and have a stack of shims to get the desired alignment because of that. With those arms you can dial in your alignment without running any shims. I run them on my Monte and they are nice. Sadly, the dont offer up those arms for 73-87's yet. If you'd like them to, contact Marcus at SC&C http://www.scandc.com/contact.htm |
