Blazer seats install in a truck question

I suppose this is widely known but I did a search and looked for a while and couldn't really find the answer I wanted. So....

I have a bench seat in my 72 truck. How easily do 69-72 blazer bucket seats mount up in a truck? Do blazer bucket seats look the same as what original truck bucket seats would look like? Anything else I should know? How much would a set of blazer seats with a console cost if they needed to be recovered? Thanks guys!

Re: Blazer seats install in a truck question

I am installing a used truck floor pan into my blazer so I know on the passenger they don't line up with the bench holes. Haven't got to the drivers side but I would assume the same based on years ago there were alot of truck bucket seat brackets for sale on here. Someone was even making sets and selling them. A set of seats that need work and a console I would say between 200- 400. I have seen redone sets and they were 700+

Re: Blazer seats install in a truck question

No, they will not bolt up to a bench floor. Bucket seat trucks have a special reinforcement crossmember under the floor for the seat brackets and special rear underfloor brackets.

Also, the passenger side bucket seat brackets are different between truck and blazer. Hope this helps, Trevor
