Question Automatic shift on the floor to shifting on the colum.

I have a floor sifter on my 1969 chevy c-10 and would like to change it to colum shift. The truck is an automatic already, so I just need to know how or what kind of linkage it takes to make it shift on the colum?

How original you trying to stay? A Lokar linkage would be the easiest and cleanest, in my opinion. I'm doing the exact same thing, btw.

Oh great. The Lokar rod linkage is already sitting in the parts pile.

We talked mostly about transfer case shifters. And I think you've mentioned that you were going cable all around. If I don't like it, I'll sell it and put a cable one in.

Your set up is the Lokar shifter on the floor isn't it or did you go back to using the column?

I had a B&M Truck Megashifter on the floor. Bought an auto tilt column.

AJ, Did you not like the B&M Mega Shifter? It's funny because I'm looking to go from auto shift on the column to floor shift. I am looking at Lokar, Hurst and B&M.

Hey dabear, what are you using for floor shifter? Why do you want to go to column shift?

It worked great. Looked good. I'm cleaning up the floor a bit and I scored a tilt column. The shifter is going up for sale soon.

Well let me know when you're planning on selling and how much. I may be interested. Kind of leaning toward Lokar though.

Re: Automatic shift on the floor to shifting on the colum.

Derotoreut I use the B&M slap shifter currently, but the first of next week I am getting my tilt colum installed so I will have a colum shift which would just work better for me. If you are interested in this kind of shifter let me know. Not sure what it would be worth to sell.
