I put the '67 to work yesterday
-
Using a truck as a truck, what a concept... Well I had to go get the '36 Ford body yesterday and I don't want to pull my 20' trailer with the S-10, so I broke out the '67, hooked it up and away we went. That 454 hummed right on down the road with no problem... Here is the thread on the '36 if anyone is interested. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=381966 LockDoc

Re: I put the '67 to work yesterday
Lookin good! I also like to see these trucks working. That's what I got mine for, and it still gets the occasional workout. I'll have to check out that '36 too...

Re: I put the '67 to work yesterday
It doesn't get much better than that. great story and that 36 is too cool. Pulling it with a big block 67 must have been a kick.

Re: I put the '67 to work yesterday
Now look what you did.You used the truck for work and now the tailgate doesn`t match! Truck looks happy hauling a`36 frame to me.What a great combo!!It`s just right.
I`m currently working out of my`72 everyday while my`92 gets it`s third NV4500.I have racks and a toolbox mounted and all.Kinda funny when it just got 3rd place in the March TOTM contest.

Thanks Guys. I actually look for excuses to use the trucks. Mark: You are welcome to stop by any time. You might be forced to eat my homemade ice cream and Pats Peach Cobbler but nobody's croaked from them yet.. You know Tim, you just have to do what you have to do! And that's no Do-Do. LockDoc

Re: I put the '67 to work yesterday
You must have beat the snow home lol.
It was 65 degrees at 4:30 Thursday afternoon and 2" of snow at 4:30 Friday afternoon in Des Moines. We ended up with 6.7" officially at the airport. Gotta love spring in the midwest!! Love the '36 Doc, looks awesome.
