Cutting a coil
I would like to know the procedure for cutting a 1/2 of coil. I would like to know the whole thing, from how to get the spring out and to the assembly.
Thank you

Re: Cutting a coil
well bro its not too bad of a job.
i posted a reply about cutting the springs while there still in. but if thats not an option then get yourself some spring clamps i believe you can do it by only removing the bottom joint on the spindle pull spring cut and replace everything. if you just did the spindles it shouldnt be difficult for you at all. but spring clamps are going to be necessary either way. go to your local auto parts store and rent them. then post pics |

Re: Cutting a coil
no need for spring clamps, just when the bottom ball joint breaks loose lower the jack slowly letting the spring and arm drop letting all the tension off the spring. then cut your spring with a cut off wheel, never use fire, put jack back under a arm and put spring in place and jack arm up and put the spindle back on the lower ball joint, tighten you ball joint nut and install tie rod back on spindle.
