What year frame

My 67 has power steering. It was on there when i got it. After reading about power steering swaps i see where the 67 frame will hit the steering box without a spacer. My frame has the proper indentation for a power steering box. It doesnt appear to be heated and hammered in, it looks factory. Is there any way i can determine what year frame it is. I'm getting ready to do a front end rebuild and want to order the right parts. It has front disc brakes and the spindles look factory.

Re: What year frame

Carr to do a front end rebuild any of our years 67-72 would be the same. The fact that yours has the PS indention is good and indicates 68-72. Disc brakes are only on 71-72. You can check the actual yr by looking on driver side toward the front on top of the frame for some stamped no's. The first no. indicates yr. The holes where the core support mounts are about the size of a quarter to half dollar on 67 while the other yrs the hole is about the size of a silver dollar.
Hope that helps Paul

Re: What year frame

I've actually personally seen a factory 67 frame that was dimpled for power steering originally. It must have been a running production change late in the model year run.
