Bumper to Bumper length of LWB 69 Truck?

Looking for a quick answer to this question. I am trying to figure out how to load a truck and other parts for scrap next weekend. How long is a LWB truck bumper to bumper. the bed and bumper are about 8', 6" I'm guessing so I also need to kno about how much of the overall length is the cab and then the front section.

I have a truck less the front clip that I'll be cutting the front frame off just in front of the cab. I ahve an additonal cab and I wanted to see if they will fit in line on my trailer. I had wanted to put other stuff in the bed and not the cab.

Thanks,

Thomas

Re: Bumper to Bumper length of LWB 69 Truck?

TTT If I had a truck here I could go measure it. I tried to find it on the search feature. Oh well Looks like its time to Google it.

No big deal.

188.5 in (4,788 mm) (short box)
207.75 in (5,277 mm) (long box)
213.75 in (5,429 mm) (Longhorn Fleetside)
217.75 in (5,531 mm) (Longhorn Stepside)

THat give me part of it.

If anyone can let me know the measurement of the front clip or the cab it would be appreciated.

Thanks,\

Re: Bumper to Bumper length of LWB 69 Truck?

It's 106" from the center of the front bumper to the back of the cab, center of the bumper to the back of the fender is 61" the cab is 58" (keep in mind 13" of the cab is tucked behind the fender).

Thanks for the help. it looks like about 18' 5" so it should just fit.

THanks,

Re: Bumper to Bumper length of LWB 69 Truck?

With my cheepo tape measure, my '71 GMC LWB measures 218" bumper to bumper. This sucks cause my garage with the same tape measure is 215" from wall to garage door.

Thats a little longer but it still should fit. Even if I have to put and extra chain on it. I just dont want to have to cut any thing up. Wanted to load and go.

Thanks for taking the measurement.
