Component Speaker Suggestions

Does anyone have suggestions on a good sounding 6.5" component set for under $200? I listen to mainly classic rock or alternative rock.

Your best bet is to go to a stereo shop and listen to a bunch of different speakers. Just find out how they have them hooked up. If they are ran with an amp or not.

Re: Component Speaker Suggestions

Pioneer makes a decent set for around $200.

Now, one thing that I only recently learned about was the difference a great amp makes. You can make a set of mediocre speakers sound amazing with a better amp. Just food for thought.

Re: Component Speaker Suggestions

You can find several sets of good sounding components in the sub $200 range. Image Dynamics CTX, CDT CL series, Morel Maximo, Pioneer TS-D, and DLS Performance Series to name a few.

Have you decided on the amp you plan on using to power the speakers?
