Painted Bumper White

I found a rattle can of Rustoleum that looked like a perfect match. I'm very happy with the results. What are others using to get back that stock look?

I used single stage PPG Omni. Same stuff I used when I painted the top white. I bought a gallon so lots of stuff around my place is going to be white. Boat trailer, steel rims, etc.

I would call it that stockish look. I went out of my way to find a 71-72 painted bumper so I could install driving lights.

I have a big step bumper in the rear for now. I have to de-rust and paint it soon too. Someone mentioned Dull Aluminum for rally wheels, so I think I'm gonna try it.

Krylon had a great Dull Aluminum but it has been re-named Matte Aluminum and Wal Mart carries it. I use it on ralley wheels and anything that needs that cad plating look to it, i.e., bolts, nuts, clips, little springs, hardware, etc.

Re: Painted Bumper White

OK, painted the rear step bumper with rustoleum satin granite. Couldn't find the dull aluminum. Forgot to snap before pic, but it looks better than it did. I used etching primer and some 400 grit before I used two coats of rustoleum.

Nothin'..........................yet. I'm not there yet, but when I do I will probable use the Hammerite white on the bumper and wheels.

That's a nice looking fleetside. I wish my grill and surround was that straight!
