oil problem
I have oil collecting up or puddling up on the intake manifold by the divorce choke side.
I can’t see where it is coming from. Would it be coming from the carb base plate of the valve cover gasket?

Re: oil problem
It is pushing up through one of the intake bolts. Find the nearest bolt to where it is puddling and pull it, dab some RTV around the top of the threads and head of the bolt and re-install it.
Should fix it right up.

Re: oil problem
common mistake by parts changers who don't put thread sealer on the bolts like the instructions in the service manual call for// best to clean the bolts one at a time with brake clean and use a quality thread sealer// i like the type with teflon paste and havent had much luck with sillycone sealing them up

Re: oil problem
I've been using Permatex hylomar for the last few years on those bolts with good success not leaking. You can get it at any parts store for a few bucks.

Re: oil problem
I have to fix this because the idiot "professionals" who put my motor in forgot. Nothing went wrong when I did gaskets on my old motor
