'70 C10 Burning Brakes

So it was nice and sunny today and my brake light came on Thurs so I decided to bleed the brakes. After I was finished the light was gone and I had a real firm peddle but when I took it for a drive it had a real bad burning brake smell and I could tell the truck was dragging. I swapped out the drums for discs last year and have driven it all winter with no problems. Any ideas?

Did you do discs all around? Also, did you replace all the rubber break hoses at the same time?

It sounds like a collapsed brake hose. They swell and collapse on the inside so you don't see it. That keeps the fluid from returning and locks the brakes.

Discs up front, drums in rear. Swapped everything from a '75. Booster, master cylinder, prop valve. I installed new rubber hoses during initial install. Everything seemed to be working fine until I bled the brakes today.

Same problem happened to me! I ended up having a wadded up rubber gromit between booster/MC. Check to see if your hoses are all tight and your MC is opening closing correctly, and check your linkage. Hope ya get it!!!!
