Best floor pan source?

Where are you guys getting your floor pans for 54s? Mine needs some and if I can get them cheap enough I'll buy a stamped set from a vendor or individual who makes them. Otherwise, me and my friend who does body work are going to build some and install them.

Some of the better quality parts are made by tri-plus or dynacorn. (and more $, maybe ecklerstrucks.com) But I usually get mine from classicparts.com. Cheaper prices and they sell the same taiwan stamped parts as everyone else. just be prepared to sacrifice price vs. fitment and modify the new parts to fit better.

So many different options as far as vendors AND pieces in the kit. I'm going to have to go inspect the truck very closely to see if the rear part of the floor, where the seat goes is good or if it's bad. I know the front part is where your feet go. I'm tempted to just get the whole floor but have 2 different options. Goodmart seems to have the best prices, but they have one whole floor kit that's 1 piece but no seat riser, just the flat part under the seat for $359.95, then the whole floor including seat riser for $599.95. I wonder if it's that hard to fab a seat riser if mine is indeed shot?

Seat risers are rarely shot. Usually, about 2" in front of the seat is where the rot begins!

The seat riser looks good on mine, but unfortunately I can easily tell the condition of the frame rails. Guess I'll either have to cut the riser off and just have it blasted and re-use it, or get the kit with the riser included. Luckily Goodmark is about 2 hours from me so when I decide, I can drive down there and save the freight cost and time I'd have to wait on them to get it here.

That's great to save shipping! There are a lot of spot welds to deal with on saving a riser.

Guess I'll need to get me a spot weld cutter and go to town one afternoon.

I just recently cut the riser out of mine. I think you'll have to come at the spot welds from the bottom...I started off trying to do it from the top and the way it's shaped doesn't allow for easy drilling. My solution was to chop most of it off with the plasma cutter and then come back and drill out the spot welds and remove the flange. To save it, I think the easiest would be to flip the cab up and drill the spot welds out from the bottom side of the floor.

And you don't need a spot weld cutter...just a 5/16" drill bit.

Ahh, found a source for the entire floor pan for cheaper than Goodmark. Mike's Bump and Grind Garage in TX/VA has the entire pan, including the seat riser for $480, $120 cheaper than Goodmark. I guess I'll be going with them unless you guys have personal horror stories about those guys.
