67 swb ls swap
I realize there are a lot of questions on the ls swaps, but i have some questions, i am putting a 6.0 4l80 into my 67. It is out of a 2000 chev, has iron heads, got the stock wire harness/pcm/fuse box with it. Am i better off taking out the big fuse box? Any input on wiring in 2 pcm controlled fans? Any input on the instrument cluster to work, or get a really expensive digital cluster? how about running fuel to it with regulator? I think im gonna put a fuel cell in it with walboro 255, but how to regulate it? And my buddy is doing the same swap into his s10 we will be getting the software to tune the pcm. Any info would help, thank you

Since u have a 00 motor it should be regulated at the fuel rail if u have two fuel lines coming off the fuel rail which i think u should. Last edited by 68fixeruper; 04-26-2010 at 10:37 PM. |

Re: 67 swb ls swap
the truck had a tbi 350 in it. the guy i purchased it from put a burban tank in the rear behind the rear diff in the frame rails. i know it only runs about 12 psi. so im prob gonna take that pos out, put a fuel cell in the back, and run a walboro w/high pressure lines.

Re: 67 swb ls swap
I have a genIV LSx and I'm going with the MSD-6012 to read the crank/cam sensors and fire the coil packs, a carb and either Edelbrock or GMPP intake(if they'd finally release the LSX line) for the air/fuel with a low pressure (6-9psi?) A/C fuel pump...so I can't help.

Re: 67 swb ls swap
i see, that should be a sweet ride anyway. i just took the harness off my engine, took the trans off the engine, waiting on my cpp perches/adapter plates so i can bolt her in and see how she fits. then ill line up my 4l80 and see where i have to mount the xmember and bolt it in. then to figure out wiring. I printed off all my diagrams from alldata at work, should make things easier

Re: 67 swb ls swap
I used this fuse block (top one) for mine and did away with the big factory fuse block (too big)
http://www.currentperformance.com/Ac...iring_acc.html I modified my stock engine harness. It wasn't that difficult to do if you know how to read a wiring diagram. There is a great thread that contains TONS of info....this will answer most of your questions http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=377348 |

K i saw that in a thread and i believe i am going to do the same. I went to school for hvac in the airforce and thats all they did was teach us how to read diagrams for like 3 weeks straight 8 hours a day, so i have that down well. i also printed off the engine management harness wiring diagrams at work. What circuits did u pull out ex(air conditioning.. etc)? and did you have to add anything to it? where do you connect your data link to on the harness, does it tap directly into the pcm? thank you |

Re: 67 swb ls swap
your harness will have a data port...or you have to wire one

Re: 67 swb ls swap
the dlp is part of the dash board wire, not part of the engine harness. pick n pull or wrecking yard is an easy find.
