Www.gmpartsgiant.com rocks for oem gm stuff

Just discovered this awesome site and just got my delivery from them today. Scored three oem power brake booster boots, part #3759198 for $3.94 each and four row radiator mount cushions, part no. 15502586 for $4.89 each. The oem GM rubber stuff is nice and soft and looks perfect. Also picked up two of these nice junction blocks originally made for 82-92 Camaros for $2.00 each, part no. 10098794. Gonna use it for my headlight relay project. Shipping was $8.40 to San Diego. As such, you really need to order more than one or two parts to make it worth it. However, that $2.00 junction block, alone, sells for much more from Mad Enterprises, like $7.00.

The junction block will make your headlight relay wiring nice and clean. I like the OEM rubber. Good deals!

I just checked with GMPARTSDIRECT.COM and they do not even carry the junction block, part no. 10098794. Also, while their radiator cushions are cheaper at $4.45 each (which is only 44 cents less) they force you to buy a pack of 5 of the radiator cushions (instead of the 4 you need) and then charge you $15.95 shipping & handling for just that part. On the power brake boot, they also charge less at $3.69 (which is only 25 cents less) but they get you for $0.81 on the shipping & handling for just that part. Looks like gmpartsgiant.com is still the better deal in this case when you factor in the shipping & handling charges. Maybe the other site is a better deal for bigger ticket items or over the counter sales. However, over the counter, they will charge sales tax. Hard to get ahead on these prices; seems like most places get you in the end.

Just to clarify my above post, here's the shipping policy for GMPARTSDIRECT.COM.

"In the 48 contiguous states of the USA the minimum handling and shipping charge is just $15.95 for the first part on the order and a discount off minimum handling and shipping fee from each additional item not to go below 22% of the cost of the item order, whichever is greater (unless specified on larger sized items)."

I know about GM parts directs shipping policy.. Sucks I know. I was just making an observation on gmpartsgiant's advertisement on their website. I just feel you should do what you advertise. This is not just about GMpartsgiant for me, it's about Shucks, Autozone, Lows, and every other business that says they have the lowest prices. You shouldn't have to price shop anyone that makes that statement and if you do, it should be so. Thats all.

More than once I've gone to the local Chevy dealer and said,
"Ouch! That part is $x.xx on gmparts direct."
He never matches it but he lowers it enough to be cheaper than shipping plus part online.
