Re: Dash Cluster wire diagram 78 C-10 2wd

i did a gauge swap in my 85 for electronic speedo setup out of a 90 burb. what you need to do is pull your instrument cluster, and you'll see pin numbers on the plug. take your time and write down what pin number you're looking at, then trace where it goes. this will tell you what wire you've got. write down everything you see, i had written down the original plug numbers, what color wire was in them, then traced out where it went on the printed circuit board. you'll have a power, a ground, and a signal wire for each gauge, but you'll notice that one wire goes to more than one gauge. take your time and you'll get it. my advice is not to rush through it if you don't have much wiring experience. it took me about two and a half hours or so to do the gauge swap just because i was writing everything down and taking my time to get it done, but i had two gauge sets to trace out and had to repin my original plug connector.

if you need any more info or help, pm me and i'll do my best to get you rolling again or at least point you to someone who can if i can't.

The fuel sender ohm range is 0 (empty) -90 (full).
