windshield washer problem

i turned the windshield washer on the other day and i heard the relay click once instead of numerous times while it was pushed down as usual but nothing was coming out. i assumed it was the pump so i replaced it with a OE pump, now same thing happens. any ideas? i didnt replace the star shaped plastic piece in the kit though and im wondering if thats y has this happened to anyone else? if i cant figure it out im going to make a trip to autozone tomorrow for a universal pump. its got me stumped.

Re: windshield washer problem

I got a universal pump at NAPA. The part number is 665-1616. I mounted it on the radiator support by the tank. I installed a toggle switch in the dash. The toggle switch number is TG6183. You will have to get connectors for the different size hoses. You can buy them at NAPA also. Good luck.
