3spd muncie tow rating
I've got a 3spd muncie in my '68 C10 with a 350 in front and 3.73s out back, and I'll be doin' a good bit of towing this summer. don't know exact #'s but maybe anywhere from 4 to 6 thousands pounds on a bumper pull. anyway I wanted to make sure the tranny (and the rest of the truck) could handle it.

Re: 3spd muncie tow rating
clutch is what you need to have up to spec
dont know what type of bumper you've got but i would never pull a load like that with a bumper

Re: 3spd muncie tow rating
I tow a 21 checkmate boat (guessing 5000 with trailer) the big issue is stopping it I'm going to do a disc swap the rest of the truck is fine just use good fluids in your gear boxs

Re: 3spd muncie tow rating
It's a dealer bumper, it looks pretty beefy but I have no idea what its rated for.
