4L80E Tailshaft and Housing Help, Please

So I bought a 2005 6.0 and matching 4L80E, but the transmission is a 4WD. The transmission guy says there are several 2wd housings for that model. Which one do I need to convert to a 2wd and work with my '86 swap? Please advise this is the last piece of the puzzle.

Oh one more. If you have a housing and tailshaft laying around I will be more than willing to take it off your hands. Thanks

Re: 4L80E Tailshaft and Housing Help, Please

You should use the mainshaft and tailshaft housing from the same year 2wd
4l80e. Any reputable trans shop will swap the mainshaft and housing to convert yours to 2wd from 4wd. Make sure you get the yoke off the driveshaft from the donor vehicle too. The 4l80e driveshaft yoke is expensive and the one from your original trans wont work!
