Arrow My Truck 86 GMC S-S

Since I am new here I thought I would show what I have. I bought this truck when I was 17(32 now), did alot of work to it. New 350, dash pad, painted once, put a wood bed in once, just to name a few things. I had to get something more economical when I started working, and just put it up. It has set in its current spot about 6 years. I can jump it off and it runs fine, with a few minor glitches, lts., fuel tranfer prob., guage problems. I plan on working on it when I get a new house with a shop to work in. Hard to work on it now, not much time. The pic of the rust spot is on the rear lower cab corner, same spot is on both sides. It must have a leak in the rear glass or somewhere else. Don't know how I am going to fix that, I cannot do metal work. Tell me what you think.

Looks good man. If that is the only rust on your truck count yourself lucky. That is a very normal spot for rust to form on these trucks. I would be willing to bet everyone here has it or has had it.

You can pick up cab corners really cheap and then it will just be a matter of finding someone to put them in for you. Good luck.

I like the hood ornament. Is that custom?

Nice truck and welcome to the board. Looks like the truck needs just a little work. The rust in the cab corners is minor. Keep us informed.

Still looks good! At least you've kept it under cover.... Most people put them under the tree in the yard for shade! Should be no problem to get back going with a little time and money. With holes that small, you can just patch over that with POR15 fiberglass mat. I did several small pepper holes in my cars trunk floor with it. Harder than steel now!!!!!! Your at the right place for knowledge, everyone here is full of it David
