Hi all, I'm new to this site and I've seen lots of cool stuff on my visits! Its nice to see so many folks that share the love of 60-66 C10's.....
Does anyone know if the complete crossmember out of an 1984 C10 will bolt directly into a 1963 C10? both are 1/2 ton 2wd.

Dene,

There is a great write up on the site somewhere which breaks down the newer year models front k-members which bolt into our older trucks. If I remember correctly yours should darn near bolt right in. Youll have to elongate some bolt holes but very minimal work is required when doing this swap.

I have a 1966 which I put a 87 c-10 front end on. I had to elongate some bolt holes but that was it. Actually I drilled out all the holes and purchased some nice beefy grade 8 bolts from Tractor Supply and replaced them all. It was pretty simple.

Beaverstink, do you have any pics of your truck? I am about to put an 87 member under my 65. I was wondering if the stock springs in the 87 are going to be lower than the 65?

Here is a thread in the FAQ's that covers most everything you'll need to know. All the front suspension crossmembers from '63-'87 trucks, and Suburbans from '63-'91 interchange quite easily.
