Can someone help me decode this cab?

On the door pillar the vin is CE249Z887649, I'm totally clueless on this truck it appears to be a 3/4 ton and a cheverolet truck a/c cab but??? Just look it over and post it up for my buddy's truck thanks in advance.....Kurt

E=V8 Gas
2=3/4 T
4= PU
9=1969
Z=Fremont assmy plant
887649=VIN--7649th unit produced

el jay was real close on that one...
the 887649 part of it...
the first 8 means it was on the second assembly line at that plant. (1xxxxx would be the first or only assembly line) So the last 6 means it was the 87649th truck off the second line
