SWB bedside stamped #'s
Anybody noticed stamped numbers on the bottom of their bedsides. Mine shows #26 on the left, and #27 on the right. Sequential from the factory? Was the bed before this one #24 and #25. Not really important, but kind of interesting. Might be a good way to tell if a bedside has been replaced. Sharpie

Re: SWB bedside stamped #'s
My 72 has numbers stamped in some sheet metal parts (like 50, 51, etc.) I suspected these were the 50th and 51st weeks. My truck was built in week 1 of 72 and it made sense that the sheet metal could have been made in weeks around 50 and 51 of 1971. Out of curiosity, was your truck built June or July?

Re: SWB bedside stamped #'s
I will look at my bed sides tomorrow. Hopefully the stamps are there. If so, It will enable me to test my theory. If my bed side numbers are the same as your, I would be inclined to think they were simple component numbers used during body assembly.
