cab same?

does anyone know if the cab on a c 10 is the same as a k10 cab except for the tranny tunnel hump... i have a good c10... but need to put on my k10

Yes they are the same. That is similar to what I'm doing for my project accept taking a cab off a 63 C50 to a 64 K10 frame.

The tranny hump cover is specific to the tranny type, not wheter it is a C-cab (2wd) or K-cab (4x4).

the only other difference is the c or the k in the vin tag, which might cause trouble with insurance or registration...

K20's do have a different rear mount, if I remember correctly. But C10 and K10 use the same cab mounts, doing the exact same swap myself.

Jonz raises a very important point. In most (maybe all?) states it is illegal to remove the VIN tag or transfer it to another body. Is your K10 licensed/registered for road use? Do you have a title for the C10 that the cab came from?

The C20-60's and K20 & 30's all use the vulcanized rear cab mount. However the location of the mounting hole in the cab remains the same within the '60-'66 years.
