Electric windows
My main question is that if I can put new doors from the 1983 that has power windows on my 1980 and just run some wires to the battery to make the power windows work. or what Ill need to run them. A wiring diagram would be nice.

Re: Electric windows
If you can get the harness from the donor truck. There will be a harness that runs out of the doors and connects to a sub harness under the dash. The more you get from the donor the easier it will be to install.
FYI- Your going to need to enlarge the hole in the door jamb .

Re: Electric windows
There is a sub harness in the truck the power doors came off of. It plugs into the fuse box and runs to the doors and powers the windows and locks. It all unplugs from the donor truck

Re: Electric windows
i'm thinking of the same swap. but how different are your 'new' doors than your old doors? do the 83 lines match up without looking out of place on the 80?

Re: Electric windows
This is the harness and relay that you'll need. Search the board and you'll find the information that you are looking for!

Re: Electric windows
Thanks for all the help. But as primetime said will the lines and everything match up with my 1980?
