Lokk what I found

Look what I found in the basement of an estated sale. I called the number listed for the add which just said 84 truck fenders and I left a message. Well a lady called me back and stated that her brother died and they were having an estate sale, so I met with the lady at her late brothers house, parked outside the garage was an 84 shortbed stepside I got a little excited when I saw the truck, she opened the garage door and sitting there still in the box was a pair of GM OEM rear fenders still in the box she said they are a 100 each, as I started to reach in my pocket to fork over the cash she stated but I will take 80 a piece, I about peed my pants trying to give her the cash. Every were I checked they were either out or 250 to 300 each aftermarket. All I can say I thanked God for my blessing as I drove away. I needed them really bad

Re: Lokk what I found

I did ask about the truck and called all my buddies to borrow money and to let them know about it but no one seems to have the money or didnt want to spend there project money on another project, LOL. I could have gotten the truck for another 1200 to 1000 but I was a little short. I think that if I had the money to buy the truck I could have gotten the fenders with it and Im still try to come up with money.

Re: Lokk what I found

Man, that would have been nice to have gotten the truck for a grand and have her throw in the fenders. But you did get a great deal on the fenders.
