Blazer,C10,K10 meet in San Antonio
Took a short ride w/JTRUX tonight and we were talking about a meet and greet soon. We were thinking about Rudy's on I10 and Boerne Stage rd. This would a good place to get some old Blazers and Jimmys and pick up trucks together and check them all out. Not to mention get some good food. What do y'all think?

Depending on when and where I might be able to come. Won't be able to bring the blazer though.

Re: Blazer,C10,K10 meet in San Antonio
I have access to a private park next to my house on the Guadalupe River if y'all are interested in heading my way. My blazer isn't drivable anymore but I can load up some of the parts and take pictures with them.

Re: Blazer,C10,K10 meet in San Antonio
Well, I have heard talk of a gathering for us in the near future. I offered up the private park by my house that I have access to here on the Guadalupe River north of San Antonio. If we are gonna do this we need to figure out when because my weekends get booked up quick (thanks to my wife!). Here are the pics of the park for those that might not have seen it before. Asphalt parking up top, lots of picnic tables and bbq pits, nice river bank to hang out on etc. I'm assuming everyone would want to get together on a weekend, I vote for August 14th or 15th. Let's see some responses and go from there.

Re: Blazer,C10,K10 meet in San Antonio
I'm good for the 14th. I like Saturday because if we have anyone from out of town they don't feel rushed to get home and get ready. Also, I'd like to drink a couple of beers and chill.

Re: Blazer,C10,K10 meet in San Antonio
I'm up for that on the 14th.
Are we talking just a get boys get-together, bbq, beer drinking, or a family oriented deal? Just wondering, if I need to bring ice chest with beer, meat, etc, or kool-aid, meat, and tubes for the river?

Re: Blazer,C10,K10 meet in San Antonio
It can be either/or. My wife and 6 week old son can easily go or not if the crowd wants "just the guys". It is a family oriented place with a playground area etc, and I also see teenagers partying it up from time to time with loud music so either is acceptable. The only thing I ask is that everyone leaves their pets at home. They recently cracked down on the leash laws and a lot of people there are NOT pet friendly. Really sucks because me and the wife love to take our boxers down there.
Anyway, what do you guys think? Family (visit and act somewhat proper) or just the dudes (get wasted and have continual Blazer talk)???

Re: Blazer,C10,K10 meet in San Antonio
That's a fun time! I was there last year. Well Blizz said to go ahead on the 14th with or without him, now 57 Napco can't make it. I'm going to keep saying Aug 14th unless someone speaks up and asks to change it (might stay with the 14th anyway but we can at least entertain the idea ). Anybody else, yay or ney?

Re: Blazer,C10,K10 meet in San Antonio
I'm fine with it, but other than you and I (and probably Jtrux) Capnhook is the only other person who has expressed interest. I will be here one way or the other, it's up to the rest of y'all to decide if its worth the time and effort with only a handful of us.

Ok wife says no. She booked us a Florida trip for the family since there's only a week left of summer vacation. So I'll have to say another time.

Re: Blazer,C10,K10 meet in San Antonio
I don't think you can camp unless you live in the neighborhood, "members only" kind of thing. If you are wanting to camp I would go here.
http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/f...adalupe_river/ It is just a few miles down the road (on the same river) and gives you a lot more room to enjoy the outdoors. I know its set up for camping not to mention canoeing, fishing, hiking, etc.
