I have a 1970 chevy frame and I am putting a 1968 front clip on it, will this work? The reason I'm asking is because the width of the frames are different.

Re: Radiator support brackets
It will work. From everything I've learned on this forum, the front frame widths are the same from 67 through 87. From the title of your thread it seems like you intend to use the 70 radiator support panel with a 68 grill. If so, see this thread...

Re: Radiator support brackets
The frame rails in the front measure different. I am using a 68 radiator support, fenders, hood, ect. On a 70 frame.

Re: Radiator support brackets
We put a '67 body on a '69 frame, it fit ok. I am still working with a few minor alignment problems with the body.
The problem I had was because I did not know that the back cab rubber mounts are thicker on a three quarter ton. We put a body off of a three quarter ton on a half ton frame using the thicker rear cab rubber mounts from the three quarter ton frame. Just another mistake I have to correct when I start the restoration on the truck.

Re: Radiator support brackets
The later frames have a larger hole for the radiator support mounts and the rubber mounts are thicker.
