Drag and bagged? Good or bad idea?
I have a 67 c10 step that is bagged. I am in the process of a very slow build of the motor but hope to get it up to 400+ hp. Well, what I would like to know is, would having bags have any advantage? How would I set it up? I don't have any shocks on it at all right now but plan to get some sometime soon. Anyone have any experience with it? I'm worried about how I can get it to hook really well. Anyone with any facts or opinions are very appreciated! Any more info needed just ask... Thanks!

Re: Drag and bagged? Good or bad idea?
Back in the 60s and 70s, drag cars used to be jacked up pretty high, the theory being that the higher the C/G, the more weight transfer you got when accelerating. I don't know if this is still being done, as I haven't been to the drags in years.
I was thinking that if you could get on a scale one axle at a time, you could find out if different combinations of front and rear lift would give you better static weight distribution. Ray |
