Insert for 69-70 front turnsignals

I made a set of front turn signal inserts that look like bowties today. I haven't seen them in the dark yet but the are somewhat similar to the LED bowties that were posted on the board earlier. I will get some pics and post them tonight.

Ok, here's the scoop on my little project. The whole lens still lights up but the light is brighter where the bowtie is. I think it looks pretty cool myself. I'm waiting on my girlfriend to get the digital camera up here so I can use it.

Finally I got the pic of the insert that I made. This is a clear 69-70 turn signal lens like I posted earlier, The bulb still shines through the insert but it is brighter in the bowtie section. Tell me what you guys think!

GOOD JOB

Greetings Hotrod70C10...

I agree....you have done a good job with the turn signal lights. I to am interested in these lights. I want to get the LED lights from Reumster in the near future. This way I will have the back of the truck converted and your lights on the front would complement the LEDs. This board has a lot of great ideas!!!
Keep up the good work!!!

What LEDs are you using? Is the picture taken with the LEDs powered by a external source? Have you tested them in your truck yet?

E-mail me direct.

I didn't use led's it's just the dual filiment bulb that comes goes in the housing. You can do this with a sheet of vinyl it is an insert behind the actual lens itself. I can get a guy at a lettering shop to cut some for you guys if you are interested still. If so I will get you a price from him. By the way this pic is of the lens in my truck.
