Indiana CL Find... This guy must be crazy...

http://terrehaute.craigslist.org/cto/1819441466.html

I thought it was a typo but then it's there again in the description... This guy must be a wishful thinker... that or it must have a solid Gold glovebox door...

Re: Indiana CL Find... This guy must be crazy...

There was one here a couple years ago every bit as nice as that. The kid had $11000 in it and got $8000 when he sold it.

Re: Indiana CL Find... This guy must be crazy...

All I have to say is good luck on that one.

I got my money back on one restore... nothing for the hours I put in. In the early 90's I had a 55 Chevy Bel Air that was a shell when I got it. When done it was a 427 4 speed car from a wrecked 66 Vette I bought. The Vette was flipped and rolled. inner cage was totaled. Tuck and rolled interior. And so on and so forth. I had 22,000.00 in it. I didnt put it up for sale. I drove it all the time. I had a guy that followed me around for 2 year asking me what I would take for it. I gave him the same answer everytime.... NOT FOR SALE! He came up to me one night asked me how much I had in it. I told him. He said I will bring it to you in the morning. I figured he was full of it. he was there the next morning with cash. EX Wife kicked me and said take it. I should have sold the ex! LOL

I am not sure that is $22,000 of work? If it was he needs to detail the truck, add more pics, and more description. JMHO

With no front bumper, driving in traffic might be a bit nervous.

Re: Indiana CL Find... This guy must be crazy...

I can't tell if it's even decent. If you want $22,000.00 for a truck you at least need to take the photos in even light. The mottled shadows could be hiding tons of body wave.
He may also think "HIS" style suits everyone. He may even have that in it but I seriously doubt he will get it out.

Re: Indiana CL Find... This guy must be crazy...

I know these kind of guys. He's probably angry that his bodyman cut into his "profit" and had to jack the selling price, because, after all, he's special and shouldn't have to pay for his own hobby.

Re: Indiana CL Find... This guy must be crazy...

This I know...after a 2 1/2 yr. "Frame Off" on the Circuit Rider I am into it for way more than I was anticipating. Yes it was my choice. If I were to sell it I doubt I would get back what I have into it even though it's a numbers matching loaded BB truck. I decided doing this verses purchasing a new truck.

He is probably the guy with the $800 cab on the Indianapolis Craigslist. I sent an e-mail and found out that it does have some rust that needs repaired. I wished him luck.
