what do yall think of bullet mufflers?
I'm getting a new exhuast this weekend and I wanted the cherry bomb vortex but the place I'm going to can't get them. They do have flowmasters but there kinda high and I really don't want a flow. So the guy told me they have a muffler called a bullet I don't know who makes it but I'm pretty sure its a dynomax. So I was wondering what yall think it would sound like on my 71 chevy its got a 305 in it and its a stock motor. I know the muffler is post to be super loud but from what I have been hearing they are also really deep sounding which is what I want. Thanks for any input.

Re: what do yall think of bullet mufflers?
Bullets always sound best with a ton of cam and a dumps right before the axle.
The real trick to making them sound right is the use of a crossover pipe. Last edited by Davetopay; 07-13-2010 at 08:18 PM. |

Re: what do yall think of bullet mufflers?
i love bullets. had them on my truck and they were awesome. i put one on a 4 cyl ranger and it sounded like a mean v8, used them on v6 and v8 f150s and they sounded good, put one on a 98 vortec style silverado, it was loud and muscley sounding. i'm bout to put one on a 2010 ram coming up and i bet it'll be nice but the newer the cars are the quieter the idle, but it still makes a deep sound with some throttle.
the bullets are way better than typical glasspacks. i always understood they were filled with stainless mesh not fiberglass which kept them from blowing out, wearing out so quick. but i was reading the description on summit the other day and it said something about glass being in them. either way it's a great muffler, the cheapest you can get away with too. you can get a 12 inch version or 16 inch... i'd get the 12 for louder Last edited by matthufham; 07-15-2010 at 02:25 AM. |
