Heater Box

Hey guys, does anyone know if there are reproductions made for a '72 single cab with factory air?
I just replaced the heater core and I am not to thrilled with the condition that mine is in.
Also, anyone know about the defrost/floor vent exchange is reproduced?

Re: Heater Box

The answer to the first question is no. I do not know of a company that is reproducing the A/C box on the engine or cab side of the firewall. I have a few here sitting around for sale if you need a good used one. I believe the "Defrost/Floor vent exchange you are talking about is the A/C Deflector box. We still get those from GM if you are interested in one of these new also. WES

Re: Heater Box

The defrost/floor vent exchange, is what I was calling the metal box that is attached to the firewall, and the vent tubes run from it to the defrost vents in the dash. It also has the cable hooked to it for directing air to the floor.

Re: Heater Box

The interior box that attaches to the firewall doesn't have vent hoses or cables running to it. The A/C Duct selector box that is connected to it does though. The exterior fiberglass box has 1 cable that attaches to it. WES

Re: Heater Box

Mine does, the "s-tube" connects to it. It has a cable that changes it from floor vent to defrost and the two duct tubes that come off of it and go to the dash. I wish I had a picture.

Re: Heater Box

Is this what you are looking for? I have this one for sale. It has been repainted gloss black and has a little red overspray, but otherwise is in excellent condition.
