have a few questions, what is the difference in headlight trim options for 73-78, on brothers trucks they list 77-78 but no 73-76, what are the differences? i want to go with the 73 look, what all do i need? thank you!

Re: some updates?

Thanks! At first it was going to be a simple paint the clip to match, throw it on there, but my customize bug bit again, I never liked round eyes til I got on this board and fell in love! Now, gotta have it!

Dinner this evening with my parents, dinner tomorrow night with inlaws. I'll call the guy tomorrow from work and see where he is exactly and go from there. Hopefully he is not really in the middle of Tulsa, I hate going in to town. Normally is not a big deal, but they are 'upgrading' the highway between me and Tulsa (I'm in a suburb about 15 miles north), so I just loooooove traveling that road. Has been a month since I last did it, I vowed to not do it again until they were done.

Hey Thomas, the guy I sold the '80 to is going to pull off the 73-74 grill and go with something else. I can check with him if he wants to sell or give it back to me if you need it...

Let me know. they are driver quality. nothing broke or cracked. you will also need to round up the brackets behind the grille.

Looking forward to the conversion man. Make sure and do a write up on it. I know there are several guys that have done it, but a real good detailed thread would be nice.

Re: some updates?

I see NOS 73/74 grills on ebay quite often, look early and often...you'll come across one, if not, you'll find a very nice one I am sure.

Glad to see someone going retro, the round lights look sooo much better than square light and burb clip conversions...IMO.

wow! its my twin! and thanks! it will be a slow slow conversion, i tore the entire clip apart and going to paint everything, make it look nice! got a great score on a set of new NOS fenders, so im going to scuff and paint the inside of them (going with a new color ) and paint the core support, fender aprons, jamb the truck, and then put it all together for paint! and lucky, i was actually a the junkyard the other day, searching for a 91 clip, found one, and was going to buy it tomorrow if i didnt get a 73-80 clip before the weekend was over

Did you fail to do a background check on this guy before you let him purchase your truck?
Funk, this Tulsa grille is a 'bust'. Said he has had tons of calls (don't they always say that?) but no one bought it. After speaking with him some, seems it is broken.

On the drop, no clue, has shackles, and melted leafs, no spindles, just melted springs, tires are 255/50 in front and 275/50 in rear
