New from B.C.
I've been lurking around the site for a while, while I searched for the right combination of unfinished project and motivated seller. I finally found it a few weeks back, a 1971 GMC SWB 4x4. Frame-off resto about 6 years ago, but never quite finished (no bumpers, mirrors, plywood bed, etc), then another owner drove it for a few years and parked it for the last 2. I have since added bumpers and mirrors, and I'm slowly working through the rest of the missing parts, broken bits, and leaky seals.
The truck is originally a 6-cylinder, built in Oshawa, but now has a big-block (supposed to be a 396, but I haven't checked the casting numbers yet). I'm sure I'll be posting questions in the other sections, but until then I thought I'd say 'Hello' here. |
