Quick hood question

I'm working on a 71 and picked up a decent used hood that had the bowtie in the center. I assume this is an earlier hood. I noticed on the different vendors websites that there are differences between the 67-68 hoods compared to the 69-72. I can't see any difference besides the emblem holes. Will the earlier hoods fit on a 71? Thanks for any help.

Re: Quick hood question

A 67-68 hood is different in that it is slanted at the nose, it kind of slopes down. A 69-70 hood has the same shape as 71-72 but has emblem holes in the top middle. After 70 they moved the emblem to the grill. Thats the only difference, but a 69-70 hood will fit a 71-72.

Thanks, that answers my question. Looks like I have a 69/70 hood and will work just fine.
