1 ton vs 3/4 and 1/2 ton cabs
Well I passed on the 1982 silverado cab as it had more rust than advertised. I was reading about 1 ton cabs and saw that the 1 ton cab was the same up to 1991. Is that the case and would a 1991 1 ton bolt on my 3/4 ton GMC 4x4 frame?

The only problem may be the transmission tunnel height if yours is the high hump and the donor has the low hump. You can make your tunnel fit the other cab if needed though.

Re: 1 ton vs 3/4 and 1/2 ton cabs
the last year you will find a 1 ton square single body cab similar to yours is 89, and that would be on a 1 ton cab & chassis truck. After that (90-91) the only squares were crew cab 1 tons, K5 blazers and suburbans.
