Burb Floor - Need Help
As some know I am getting ready to start replacing the floor in the burb. The front floor pans are simple as far as replacement parts. How is it handled for the rear floor.
I mean the floor right behind the front floor pan. I thought about buying a complete floor and just cutting out what I need. What is the best way to handle this. The floor in burb is rough in some spots. Passenger side is pretty much completly rusted out, driver side is not to bad. The picture shown is stolen from Hart_Rod, just because I am lazy and dont want to walk 10 feet into my garage lol .

Re: Burb Floor - Need Help
I am working on a blazer and needed patches for the rear floor section where you have it circled as well. I was thinking of buying a complete floor like you said. However I believe the manufacturers wanted $300-400 for the floor plus over $100 for shipping. Since that is a part of the floor that doesn't usually rust out I figured for that much money I could just buy a parts truck to cut the floor sections out of and have all the extra parts to use or sell. So that is what I did. It took about a half day to remove the donor floor and then about another half day to cut out the rotten floor and weld the new floor in. And now I still have a donor cap with a solid roof and cowls to use on other projects. If I were you that is the route I would go.

Re: Burb Floor - Need Help
None. This part is THE hangup for burbs if you ask me. GMCPaul told me he had talked to a supplier about tooling up for the portion of the floor under the second seat that kicks up to the rear wood portion, but he said he wouldn't do it until the economy improves. This was maybe a year ago. I have no idea where it stands now.
