Need Foam Strip for thr hood - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Well I got my 67 hood built for the 69 truck and need the foam pad to go between the hood supports and hood?
Anybody know a vendor that has good stuff??

Most all of the vendors in the "vendor" section have the foam pads.

Word of caution when installing: Use care when prying the reinforcing strips to install the new foam. If you use a sharp object like a pry bar or screw driver it can leave a mark on the top of the hood. (from experience.

)

I shaved a wide, flat piece of wood at one end similar to a wood shingle to pry the metal strips. I tapped them in until I was able to insert the foam.
