Tranny Testing
Is there any way to test an automatic transmission out of a vehicle? I want to purchase a used one and put it in my truck. I don't have the money to buy a reman or performance trans and have noticed several used ones for sale in the area. Just wondering if there was a way or if you're at the mercy of the seller.

Re: Tranny Testing
You can look around you maybe able to find a shop with a dyno just for transmissions
I was quoted 70 bucks to dyno test one that was rebuilt at the same shop Your best bet is to place a wanted ad on craigs list and tell them you want to drive the tranny before they pull it - or offer to pull it for them, helps to insure your purchase stays in good condition
