Newbie from West Central Georgia....
I am glad to find this site. I like the quick response from the Q & A page. I was on another site and asked the same question and only got one response in 4 days. I have a 87 Silverado that belonged to my youngest brother. He sold it to me after going thru a divorce. I have been working on it when I had a little money to put in it. It was in poor shape . I replaced the radiator and put new Goodyears on it, so I could drive it.I am the 4th owner. It has a straight body with no rust in all the places that normally show up.I did drop it 3/4 and remove all the interior and all the molding to get it ready to paint. Then my job moved to Mexico. Now I am in school, training to be a barber. Maybe they won't sent that job out of country. I will continue to sand and prime the body myself and then have it painted. It was originally dark blue so I want to go back with a similar color. Thought about a new Silverado or Cadillac blue. I will post some photos later for ya'll to look at.
My favorite saying " Don't crush them, restore them"
