I spent the last week in Piegon Forge and man I saw 67-72's everywere. All kind of trucks from beaters to very nice ones. I dont think I have seen this many of them in one town. All with local tags.

Re: sooo many trucks in TN
I'm at all the rod runs. It could be that I live here though. I'm actually thinking about skipping the Shades this year to go to the Holley LSFest in Bowling Green, KY.
The rod runs do get crowded. The past couple years haven't been so bad since the city opened up the new Municipal parking lot. People actually have a place to park instead of just driving around looking for a spot. It's still tough to find a spot right on the strip though if you have a classic. Any time you guys are in the area, let me know. I'm always up for meeting more board members.

Re: sooo many trucks in TN
Darn Matt would have been cool to meet you and see your truck. I go up twice a year. The cabin we stay at is in wears valley on walker road across from grandmoms kitchen. In my mini truck days we attempted to do the mini truck nats in pforge, but truck failure kept us only half the way there. I would imagine it getting packed though.

Re: sooo many trucks in TN
I even checked craigalist for parts I'm missing. I figured I could pick them up while I was up there. Dude in s ky has a really nice set of bumpers. It was just too far to drive.

Re: sooo many trucks in TN
Shades of the Past is going to be at Dollywood this year, so we will see how that goes. I will usually go early, see the cars n trucks, hit the swap meet and then be out of there by early afternoon to miss the crowds some. Hit up one of the TN boys when you are in the area and maybe we can show you around some.

Re: sooo many trucks in TN
I just spent the past week camping in Pigeon Forge. Beautiful place and just what the wife and I needed. Would have been nice to meet up with some members and check out some cool trucks. We did manage to make it to Dollywood for the day. The wife has some relatives in the area so I can see us coming back down there for another vacation. Right now we are on the stage two of the vacation and have taken the fifth wheel up to Rodanthe for most of this week. We also managed to stop in Mooresville to see JR Motorsports and the GarageMaHal of Mr. Dale Earnhardt.

Re: sooo many trucks in TN
Schwinn, that's a trip I'd like to take for sure. I think I'd need more like a month to make a good round trip of things I'd like to see over that way.

Re: sooo many trucks in TN
There's definitely been some things we have had to miss along the way. We were fortunate to get a two week window to take this trip in but like you said, it could have easily gone over a month. We still plan on stopping at Niagra Falls on our way back home along with touring New York, Pennsylvania and stopping in Ohio for a night to see a cousin of mine. Buying the camper and traveling America was one of the best decisions I've made and I'm glad I did it when I'm young
